“How much is this coin worth?”

This is the most frequently asked question in the world of coin collecting, and one I often get from friends, family, and even acquaintances. Instead of keeping all my answers hidden away in emails and chat messages, I decided to start a new series here. We’ll feature different coins (or currency) and share my thoughts on their value.

By “answers,” I really mean my opinion, as anyone’s valuation strategy may vary slightly. However, I’d like to think that my decade of experience and the liquidation of over a dozen collections offers some credibility! Additionally, we’ll showcase a variety of coins for everyone to appreciate and learn a bit about them. If you have questions or coins you’d like to submit, feel free to send them my way.
