I’m sifting through a friend’s coin collection and came across this intriguing double-sided coin holder!

It’s both hideous and beautiful at the same time. 😂

It seems designed to open at both ends, but unfortunately, that’s not the case. It only opens on one side. However, if you remove the blue sponge, you can slide a coin into the other end, replace the sponge, and then add the front coin. There you go—an improvised double-sided coin holder!

When my friend said I could keep it, I couldn’t stop laughing. But now, I’m actually considering it. It’s unusually large, but it’s growing on me. You never know what surprises you’ll find when you explore people’s collections! 😂

I’ll be blogging next about the entire collection. My friend has asked me to evaluate and sell it all—should be fun!

P.S. I tried using Google Lens to find similar items online, but no luck. It mostly brought up makeup and colored sand that looked surprisingly similar! 😂 My guess is this holder is from the 60s or 70s—definitely old-school!
