Good morning!
Last week, I shared my new custom coin board that a friend traded with me, praising how it’s been incredibly helpful. In response, he sent me a picture of his latest creation: a custom coin board table—complete with legs! (See above)
He’s really outdone himself this time, haha. Unlike the original board, this one features removable cups, allowing for quicker access. Now you can effortlessly fill and swap them without having to dig into the squares manually. Brilliant!
You’ll also notice there’s a smooth sorting area for easier pouring and a raised edge to keep everything in place, ensuring no precious coins fall off.
And let’s not forget the legs—they fold up for convenient storage!
This version has 12 slots compared to the original’s 50, so it’s more compact. But sometimes you only need to sort a few coins or focus on a particular set, and for those instances, it works perfectly.
In fact, my friend often starts his sorting projects with this board and then moves to the other one for more detailed sorting. Basically, it’s a fun two-step process!
Here’s a picture of the original board for reference:
And here are more photos of the board table, shown without coins so you can see all its features:

Pretty cool, right?
It’s amazing how he’s combined woodworking and coin collecting into something really special. Well done, my talented friend!
Like before, if you think this board could benefit your coin hobby, let me know, and I’ll see if my friend is open to crafting another one. He’s always keen on foreign coins! (Hint hint)
PS: We’ll return to our regular coin posts next time, but I couldn’t miss the chance to highlight this fantastic invention. Coin collectors really are the best!
