Table with Legs: A Customized Coin Board Design

Table with Legs: A Customized Coin Board Design

Good morning!

Last week, I introduced my new custom coin board gifted by a friend in a trade. While I was telling him how useful it’s been for me, he surprised me with a picture of his latest creation: a custom coin board table with legs! It’s shown above, so take a look!

He certainly has outdone himself, haha. Unlike the previous design, this one features removable cups for quicker access. You can easily fill them and swap them out without having to dig into the squares—it’s truly brilliant!

You’ll also notice a smooth, clean sorting area for easy pouring, along with a raised edge to keep your precious coins from falling off.

And, of course, it has legs that collapse for convenient storage!

This new table has 12 slots compared to the original’s 50, but sometimes you only need to sort a few coins or focus on specific countries, so it works perfectly for those instances.

In fact, my friend usually starts his sorting projects using this board, then switches to the other one for more detailed organizing since it has more slots. It’s like a fun, two-step sorting process!

Here’s another look at the original board for reference, followed by a couple more images of the table without any coins so you can appreciate it fully:

Isn’t it cool?

It’s amazing to see one hobby enhancing another. You’ve truly outdone yourself again, my talented woodworking friend! Congratulations!

And just like my earlier note about the previous board, if you think this could really assist you with your coin collection, send me a message and I’ll check if my friend is interested in creating another one. Word has it he’s fond of foreign coins! (Hint, hint)

PS: We’ll return to our regular coin posts next time. I just couldn’t resist sharing another fantastic invention! Coin collectors are truly awesome!
